In doing so, the manufacturer addresses one of the biggest objections to installing heat pumps in densely built neighbourhoods.
Noise as an obstacle
In streets where homes stand close together, the sound of an outdoor unit often sparks debate. Legal noise limits and complaints from neighbours can make installation difficult in such settings. A quieter device could lower that barrier and make wider use in existing districts more feasible.
A year of testing
According to the developers, the system was trialled in real-world conditions for a year, with positive results. That test period is meant to show that the heat pump performs reliably across changing weather conditions and over a longer time span.

For the construction and installation sector, the compact, low-noise design is of interest. Terraced houses make up a large share of the housing stock and are crucial to meeting sustainability targets.
